Still under the proud name of TI Campbell & Son’s, Mr Thomas Irving Campbell selected the patch of pine covered land in the early 1880’s and called it “Ilkadoon”. Not only a pioneer to the district, he was also a pioneer of both “The Land” newspaper and the NSW Farmers and Settlers Association.
